Welcome  to the Skokie Firefighters Local #3033 Website. Since 1987 we have been recognized as the official bargaining unit for eighty-six (86) Firefighters/Paramedics and nineteen (19) Lieutenant/Paramedics. We are affiliated members of the State Association of Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) as well as the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). Our first collective bargaining agreement was ratified in February of 1988 and to this day we continue to negotiate the member's wages, hours and conditions of employment.

Skokie is located in Illinois just to the North of Chicago covering 10.1 square miles with a 2006 estimated population of 66,659 .  Our members are responsible for full service fire department activities providing the Village of Skokie community with fire fighting, fire prevention and emergency medical services. We are an Insurance Service Office (ISO) Class 1 rated and Accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.  Our accomplishments have been rewarding as we continue to provide the highest level of fire and emergency medical services possible to the village. In addition to the fire fighters regular duties, the Skokie Firefighters Local #3033, have annually sponsored a Boot Day to collect donations of money, food and gifts to benefit needy families in the Skokie area. The Skokie Firefighters Local #3033 continues to improve service to the community and enhance the Village of Skokie.
