Welcome to the Skokie Firefighters Local #3033 Website. Since 1987 we have been recognized as the official bargaining unit for eighty seven (87) Firefighters/Paramedics and Eighteen (18) Lieutenants. We are affiliated members of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) as well as the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). Our first collective bargaining agreement was ratified in February of 1988 and to this day we continue to negotiate the member’s wages, hours and conditions of employment.

Local 3033 Wins Schaumburg Softball Tournament
Congratulations to the Firefighter’s Local 3033 Softball Team that took first place at the 31st Annual Schaumburg Firefighter’s Charity Softball Tournament. This was the first time in the history of the Schaumburg Softball Tournament that Skokie Firefighter’s Local 3033 has won the tournament. To secure the victory, our members beat Naperville, Park Ridge, Deerfield-Bannockburn, Schaumburg, and Arlington Heights. Excellent work by the members that participated on a very long and hot day. We are proud of the accomplishment. Job well done!

Fire Fighters’ Tips for Surviving a Tornado The safest place to be in the event of a tornado is an underground shelter – such as a basement – advises Skokie Local 3033 fire fighters. If you don’t have a basement, pick a small, windowless interior room or hallway on the lowest level.
Giving Back
We love serving the Skokie community and we seek to giveback.
On occasion you may see us on the street holding out a boot. Currently we are filling the boot for the MDA to help fight muscular dystrophy. Our last MDA boot drive May 25th 2025, we raised $2,157.46 dollars. We thank you for your support.
